Setting up a new email account in Microsoft Outlook Express
Step 1 In the menu bar at the top, click Tools |
Step 2 Click Accounts |
Step 3 Click Add |
Step 4 A new menu will apear to the right of the add button. |
Step 5 For your Display Name , enter your name exactly as you would like those who recieve your emails to see it. This is the name that will display in the From field when you send email. |
Step 6 Enter your Email Address |

Your Incoming Mail (POP3) Server should be entered in the following format: mail.yourwebsitename.com Your Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server should be the same as your Incoming Mail Server. ** Please note: You may need to contact your internet service provider to get their SMTP settings as some providers will only let you use their settings. Cox Communications is an example of this. |
Step 8 ** If you do not know your Account Name or Password, and your website is hosted by ProProducts Web Design, they can be obtained by contacting ProProducts Web Design. If your website is not hosted by ProProducts Web Design, you will need to contact your host to get this information.
